Apply for Bend Metropolitan Planning Organization Committees

The Bend Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is seeking applicants for 2 positions on the MPO Committee

The Budget Committee is established by state and local law to review and make recommendations regarding the adoption of the budget to the Bend MPO Policy Board.  Appointees will each serve a 3-year term, effective 7/1/2020 to align with the fiscal year.

This committee meets once a year in March or April. Typically, the Committee meets for one afternoon session.  Membership of the budget committee includes the voting members of the Policy Board plus an equal number of appointed residents.  Resident members shall serve staggered 3 year terms and may serve more than one term.

Requirement:  Applicants shall reside within the Bend MPO planning area.  

Applications are available at online at www.bendmpo.org and will be accepted via email to tdeke@bendoregon.gov until Friday, January 29, 2021 at 4:00 P.M.  Applicants may take part in an interview process, and final selection rests with the Bend MPO Policy Board at the February 16, 2021 meeting.

2021-22 Fiscal Year Upcoming Dates

• January 2022- Draft Budget development with MPO staff
• February 2022 – Review Draft work program and budget with Federal, State and Local Partners.
• March/April 2022 – Budget Committee meeting and provides recommendation to MPO Policy Board. 
• April/May 2022 – MPO Policy Board Considers Work Program and Budget
