The Traffic Impact Locations Map below shows road closures and detours in Bend. The map is updated weekly throughout the year and provides information about various projects within City limits that impact the roadways.

We send out weekly road and traffic reports each Friday to help members of our community plan the quickest, safest and most reliable routes to their destinations. The weekly report is intended to provide information about various projects within City limits that impact the roadways.

Weekly Road and Traffic Report for the Week of November 4 – 10

For the Week of November 4 – 10:

  • SW Simpson Avenue between SW 18th Street and SW 15th Street will have infrastructure installations, single lane closure with flagging, Nov. 4 - 8.
  • Eagle Road between NE Wells Acres Road and NE Keyte Road for a water service installation, single lane closure with flagging, Nov. 4 - 6.
  • The intersection of SE Parrell Road and SE Rae Road will have infrastructure work and paving, three-way flagging at the intersection, Nov. 4 – 8, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • SW Century Drive between SW Simpson Avenue and SW Colorado Avenue for a mini roundabout construction, full road closure with detour, Sept. 9 - Nov. 15.
  • Awbrey Butte Waterline Improvements Project, Phase 2 – This project will provide water distribution system upgrades to the Awbrey Butte area with eight interrelated water improvement subprojects. For more information, visit the Awbrey Butte Waterline Improvements Project website.
    • Saginaw Avenue from West Hills Road to Juniper Street: Intermittent Closure under flagging.
    • Trenton Avenue from Juniper Street to 12th Street: Intermittent closures under flagging.
    • Portland Avenue from Awbrey to Steidl Road: Single Lane closure under flaggers for franchise utility (GAS) work.
  • Midtown Crossing Project (Second Street work) - A multiphase project that will replace the water main from Greenwood Avenue to Franklin Avenue in preparation for the full reconstruction occurring next spring. Phase 2 - 4 occurs from Oct. 21 – Spring 2025. Northbound lane closure with local access will occur in its entirety. Current road section work listed below.     • Second Street between NE Irving Avenue and NE Greeley Avenue.
  • NW Harriman Street between NW Kearney Avenue and NW Greenwood Avenue for infrastructure work associated with the Deschutes County Courthouse, full road closure, began July 24.


Future Road Closures:

  • Veteran’s Day Parade (special event) – Parade will have various road closures in and around downtown (listed below). The event will take place on Monday, Nov. 11.
    • NW Wall Street between NW Newport Avenue and NW Franklin Avenue.
    • NW Riverside Boulevard between NW Wall Street and NW Galveston Avenue.
    • NW Galveston Avenue between NW Tumalo Avenue and NW Harmon Boulevard.
    • NW Harmon Boulevard between NW Galveston Avenue and NW Newport Avenue.
    • NW Newport Avenue between NW Harmon Boulevard and NW Wall Street


Work schedules are dependent on weather conditions and other factors. Always exercise increased caution within construction zones. Drivers should use designated detour routes. Nearby residential streets are for local traffic only.

Any road closure not listed within this report, please submit a service request to notify the city of any potentially unpermitted work within City right of way. Please visit the Transportation and Mobility Department to submit.
