Diverting the sewer flows into the SEI will mitigate capacity-constrained segments in the existing interceptor pipeline that runs through Central Bend and allow for future septic-to-sewer conversions in Southwest Bend.

This project consists of a sewer diversion structure and pipeline that is approximately 1,200 lineal feet in length that will serve the southwest basin of Bend and reroute flows into a recently completed main interceptor pipeline known as the Southeast Interceptor (SEI). The proposed pipe alignment will divert flows beginning at a location near 61076 South Hwy 97 in Bend, and establish a route to connect to the SEI near the South Village Pump Station. Majority of the work will be completed in the right of way, with coordination with ODOT as needed.
