PROJECT OVERVIEW

This project includes the design, construction, or repair of curb ramps and sidewalks, including those identified through the City’s Barrier Removal Request process.

Through the help of dedicated volunteers on the City of Bend Accessibility Advisory Committee (COBAAC) and the Central Oregon Coalition for Access (COCA), key corridors and neighborhoods across the city have been prioritized for accessibility improvements.

PROJECT PHASES

1. Sidewalk on the east side of SE Brosterhous Road from SE Orchard Place to SE Caldera Drive - COMPLETE
2. A pedestrian crossing, with a median refuge, is planned at the intersection of SE Orchard Place and SE Brosterhous Road - COMPLETE
3. A pedestrian undercrossing is planned between the two railroad abutments to get under the railroad - COMPLETE
