The NW Tumalo-Broadway Water Main Replacement project replaces and upgrades aging water infrastructure. It will also install new stormwater management facilities to prevent runoff into the Deschutes River. 


PROJECT LOCATION

The project includes replacement of the water main within NW Tumalo Avenue from Riverside Boulevard to Idaho Avenue and NW Broadway Street from Tumalo Avenue to NW Louisiana Avenue. (See map below.)

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING CONSTRUCTION

  • Construction Hours: 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Monday-Friday)
  • During work hours, some residents may experience vibrations from construction equipment.
  • Some residents* may experience short disruptions in water service.
  • During construction, heavy equipment will be operating close to residences. Please stay safe and keep children and pets away from the construction area.
  • Tumalo and Riverside intersection will remain open during construction.

ROAD CLOSURE AND PARKING

  • Road closure will be required during construction hours. 
    (Garbage service will be able to access cans.)
  • No parking on roadway. 
  • Driveway access* may be limited during construction hours.

* The contractor will notify the impacted resident directly or by notification door hanger.

Replacement of existing water main in poor condition that does not meet current City standards. New water service lines, meters and fire hydrants will also be installed.
