DESCRIPTION:Camp Fire Axe is a summer camp held by Bend Fire & Rescue each year for high school students ages 16–19 who are interested in a hands-on experience to learn what it’s like to work as a firefighter or paramedic in their community. \nStudents will learn from professional firefighter/paramedics from Bend Fire & Rescue about topics such as: \n\nHow fires behave and how emergency teams respond\nFire engines\, ladder trucks\, and how to use hoses\nRescue techniques like getting people out of cars\, using ropes\, and searching for victims\nTrauma care\, CPR\, and basic first aid skills\n\nLearn more and apply at bendoregon.gov/camp-fire-axe
