Join us at 1:30 p.m.\, 3 p.m.\, or 4:30 p.m. for a restorative circle discussion that will be run on restorative principles. Participants will have the opportunity to review circle agreements and the discussion will be conducted using a talking piece to ensure that everyone has equal opportunity to speak and to listen on the important subject of belonging\, and what is needed for folks to feel they belong here in Bend. This is an opportunity for us to come together\, celebrate diversity\, and build meaningful connections. We will delve into belonging in an atmosphere of openness\, respect\, and empathy to ensure that every voice is heard and valued. As we all have something to offer the collective\, we can create an event that celebrates compassion and unity. Food and beverage will be provided. Circles will be capped at 30 people per event. Come anytime between 3-5 p.m. This innovative event draws inspiration from traditional libraries\, allowing community members to “check out” their neighbors as if they were books. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in one-on-one conversations\, facilitated by low-risk prompts designed to reduce psychological harm and encourage open dialogue. The primary objective of this event is to humanize one another and dismantle both conscious and unconscious biases we may carry. By encouraging people to connect with their community neighbors\, we aspire to foster personal growth\, expand knowledge\, and deepen understanding both of others and ourselves. DESCRIPTION:Restorative Community Circles for Bend Session #12 – 3 p.m. Restorative Justice & Equity\, Caldera High School\, 60925 SE 15th Street\, Bend    \nThe Restorative Justice & Equity Group invites the Black\, Indigenous\, Latinx\, Asian\, and People of Color (BILAPOC) community and friends to participate in a restorative healing circle on the topic of\, “Belonging in Bend Begins with Us.” We will hold three healing circles for 12 participants and 20 observers in each session using a restorative circle process. Participants will explore what belonging is\, how they have experienced and been impacted by belonging or not belonging\, a time when they felt they were unfairly treated due to their ethnicity or color\, and how to create and nurture a culture of belonging and inclusiveness in Bend.

Participants will have an opportunity to provide recommendations for current and future transit services. Tote bags\, LED safety lights\, sunglasses\, and route maps will be given to attendees. A CET bus will be on display for attendees to learn how to safely board and exit the bus\, pull the cord\, and load a bike on the front of the bus.
