DESCRIPTION:Vámonos al Cine Latinos Film Fest3:30 p.m. & 7 p.m. Showings\, The Tower Theater\, 835 NW Wall Street\, Bend \nHosted by: Vámonos Outside \nVámonos Outside is excited to present the inaugural Vámonos al Cine – Vámonos Outside Latino film fest. This cultural event will take place at the Historic Tower Theatre in Downtown Bend. This will coincide with the start of  Hispanic Heritage Month\, the celebration of Mexican Independence Day\, and the close of Welcoming Week. This event will be free to the community\, with an optional donation. Its intention is to inspire a connection between the Latino community and the natural world using films that focus on cultural representation and stories in outdoor recreation\, environmentalism\, or existing with nature. While there are many Latinx Film Festivals\, this one is solely centered around people and nature. Our motivation is to provide a space for Latine/Latino/Latina/Latinx representation and storytelling in the arts\, to advance belonging and inclusion in outdoor spaces\, and to inspire the continued stewardship that is culturally rooted through our ancestry. To be included in the narrative is to invite participation in the enjoyment of the outdoors and a connection to nature for the entire family. \nVámonos al cine Festival de cine latino Proyecciones a las 3:30 p. m. y 7:00 p. m.\, The Tower Theater\, 835 NW Wall Street\, Bend  \nOrganizado por: Vámonos Outside  \nVámonos Outside se complace en presentar el festival inaugural de cine latino Vámonos al Cine\, Vámonos Outside. DESCRIPTION:Principles of Community: Living the Work  10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Central Oregon Community College\, Wille Hall\, 2600 NW College Way\, Bend \nThis interactive workshop will center on the Central Oregon Community College (COCC) “Principles of Community\,” which governs how we engage\, encourage\, and develop a plan for success.  Facilitators will share current and future programs and projects that promote inclusive and welcoming spaces at COCC. Participants will work together to brainstorm ideas on how together we can model the Principles of Community in Central Oregon.
