Mike Riley was elected to the Bend City Council in 2022.

Mike was born in Canada, immigrated to the U.S. when he was six, and grew up in California. He has worked primarily in the nonprofit sector, in organizations focused on primary care and emergency medicine, outdoor education, and environmental advocacy. He worked for several years as an EMT-Paramedic in the Bay area and for several years leading wilderness expeditions in Kenya, Africa. Mike and his wife moved to Bend in 1997 and raised their two boys here. He enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities, including skiing, mountain bike riding, river rafting, and exploring the western U.S.
Mike ran for City Council to help make Bend a safe, affordable, and livable community for everyone who calls our small city home.
