As required by federal regulation, Bend MPO produces five main products that facilitate transportation planning in the Bend area, listed below.
- The Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), a 20-year plan for prioritized transportation investments within the Bend area transportation system. Updated every 5 years.
- The Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program (MTIP), which discusses the near-term (4-year) allocation of federal and state transportation funds to projects. Updated every 2-3 years.
- An annual Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP), which details MPO work tasks to be continued or undertaken in the Bend area within a specific fiscal year.
- A Public Participation Plan to provide a documented process for providing the public and others with reasonable opportunities to be involved in the MPO planning process.
- A Title VI Plan (Title VI of the Civil Rights Act) that outlines the MPOs commitment to non-discrimination, environmental justice, and other related orders and enforcement regulations.
The Bend MPO also participates in a number of other planning-related efforts in the Bend area. These include planning studies and development of various transportation-related plans of member agencies. Links to these planning projects can be found in the left sidebar of this webpage.
