ADA Transition Plan

The City of Bend is committed to ensuring that all City facilities, programs, and activities are accessible to all.  During the summer of 2013, the City released its draft ADA Transition Plan for public comment.  After receiving public comment, the City made some adjustments to the transition plan and released a final version of the ADA Transition Plan at the start of 2014.  To ensure citizens are kept up-to-date on the City’s continued efforts to improve accessible, the transition plan will be update bi-annually to coincide with the City’s budgeting process.

Special Events: Accessibility Guidelines

To ensure that all special events that occur within the City right-of-way meet the accessibility requirement of the 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act, the Accessibility Program developed accessibility guidelines.  Special event organizers are encourage to read and share the guidelines with their staff and vendors.
