Apply for a Burn Permit in order to conduct an Agricultural Burn, Commercial Burn, or Special Type (Event Bonfires, Pig Roasts, etc.) within the City or Rural Fire District. To Apply:

Returning users with an Online Permit Center Portal Account: 

1. Sign in to your Portal Account
2. Click Apply under the "Special Event, Noise Variance or Fire Requests" service area
3. Select "Request a Burn Permit" as the application type, then choose what type of burning you are going to do
4. Documentation: If you are apply for a commercial burn permit (this is any burning on commercial property including businesses, industrial lands, job sites, etc.) you will need to obtain Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) permission prior to a Bend Fire Department permit if the fire will be within 3 miles of the city limits. Visit the DEQ's website for more information.

One of our inspectors will call you as soon as we can after your application is submitted to schedule a visit. 

Use for any fire inspection needed for any federal license or certificate. Upload any supporting documentation when you apply in the portal.

3. Select "Request for Fire Inspection" as the application type, then "Federally Required Fire Inspection"
4. Documentation: We do not require that documents be submitted to conduct the inspection; however, you may include documentation required by the licensing agency. 

One of our inspectors will call you as soon as we can after your application is submitted to schedule a visit. 

To begin the process for your licensed agency you must first submit your renewal application to the Oregon Office of State Fire Marshal. You will then be contacted by Bend Fire & Rescue staff to schedule your inspection. The fire department will sign and return your renewal application to your licensed agency once the inspection has passed.

Use for any fire safety inspection, related to any insurance company needs. Upload any supporting documentation when you apply in the portal.

3. Select "Request for Fire Inspection" as the application type, then "Insurance Required Fire Inspection"
4. Documentation: We do not require that documents be submitted to conduct the inspection; however, you may include documentation required by the insurance company. 

One of our inspectors will call you as soon as we can after your application is submitted to schedule a visit. 

Apply for a Fireworks Display Permit. This is to obtain your local Fire endorsement signature only; a site inspection will be scheduled at a later time. Returning users with an Online Permit Center Portal Account: 

1. Sign in to your Portal Account
2. Click Apply under the "Special Event, Noise Variance or Fire Requests" service area
3. Select "Firework Display Permit - Local Endorsement" as the application type
4. Select that you are requesting a Firework Display Permit.
5. Documentation: Upload your OSFM application, site diagram, insurance certificate and additional insured documents when prompted in the process.

An inspector will contact you regarding your request.
