2016 - 2017 Bend Parking Study

The City of Bend has completed a three-part study that will inform the development of a parking plan for the City.

The project began with a Downtown Parking Study, was followed by a Citywide Parking Study providing a technical review of parking requirements and policy for the entire city, and wrapped up with a study of the Galveston Avenue Commercial Corridor of Bend. Rick Williams Consulting and the City conducted the study in three overlapping parts.


PART 1 - DOWNTOWN PARKING STUDY

Part 1 has been completed. On June 7, 2017 the Bend City Council adopted a Resolution No. 3067  directing staff to implement the goals, strategies and recommendations of the City of Bend Downtown Strategic Parking Management Plan.  Below are the adopting documents.

PART 2- CITYWIDE TECHNICAL REVIEW AND ASSESSMENT

Part 2 is now complete.  On January 5, 2018, the consultant team completed their final report for the City of Bend Parking Code and Policy Assessment.  You can download this final report through the following link.  

PART 3 - GALVESTON AVENUE CORRIDOR PARKING STUDY

Part 3 is now complete.  On December 8, 2017, the consultant team completed their final report for the Galveston Avenue Corridor Parking Study.  You can download the Final Report through the following link. 

POLICY ADVISORY TEAM

The Policy Advisory Team will provide consistent review for each phase of the Bend Parking Study.  The Team includes:

• Councilor Barbara Campbell
• Councilor Bill Moseley
• Planning Commissioner Vincent Mercurio
• Bend Economic Development Advisory Board member Wendy McGrane
