2015 - 2025 Strategic Implementation Plan for Walking and Biking Infrastructure

The initial work on this plan began in 2013.  The City worked with a subcommittee of the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee and the Deschutes County Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.  They reviewed existing bicycling and walking infrastructure throughout Bend.  They also developed an approach to implement system upgrades.  The subcommittee prioritized areas of safety improvements and identified design upgrades.  This was meant to encourage increased levels of active transportation for everyday needs.  They also prioritized construction of key connections.  The review findings and strategic plan are documented in a final report and an executive summary report.  They provide direction for pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure priorities for the city of Bend.
