City of Bend
Home MenuCity-Funded Shelters
Since July of 2021, The City of Bend has leveraged county, state, and federal funds to develop and support four new shelters.
Although the City of Bend has purchased properties used for shelters and funds shelter operations, the City does not provide operations for those sites. Rather, the City partners with non-profit organizations for the operations of each shelter. Additionally, the City also provides technical assistance as well as financial support to other social services, shelters, and housing providers through the Community Development Block Grant program.
