Pedestrians crossing

A program to enhance multi-modal travel by identifying and prioritizing missing or incomplete pedestrian infrastructure.

The purpose of this program was to:

  1. Determine the areas of greatest need for pedestrian infrastructure in Bend
  2. Inventory those areas to identify missing or incomplete infrastructure
  3. Prioritize and create lists of infill and/or improvement projects needed to create a complete pedestrian network of low stress facilities within each area of highest need.

The project was completed in June 2023, and developed the Project Identification and Guidelines for Continued Inventory [PDF], which will help guide the City with future pedestrian investment decisions, as well as track existing inventory over time.
