Single Family Residential Rebates Page ArtIndoor and Outdoor device rebates available to City of Bend Single Family, Duplex, Triplex, and Quadplex water customers.

When choosing devices, look for the EPA WaterSense label or EnergyStar certification.

INDOOR

Single Family Residential Indoor Conservation Rebates
*The total bill credit will not exceed the purchase amount per device and doe
s not cover costs associated with labor.  

How to Apply:

  1. Review eligibility and retrofit requirements.

  2. Purchase and install qualifying devices.

  3. Complete rebate application through WaterSmart within 90 days of device purchase; access WaterSmart here: bendoregon.gov/watersmart.

    a. Documentation will be required for approval including itemized receipt, photo of device model, and proof of installation.

  4. Receive application approval; incomplete or unsigned applications cannot be processed.

  5. Rebate is then processed through Utility Billing for the approved amount as a credit on your City of Bend water bill; allow 60 days between final approval and utility billing credit.


OUTDOOR

How to Apply:

  1. Review eligibility and retrofit requirements.

  2. Purchase and install qualifying devices.

  3. Complete rebate application through WaterSmart within 90 days of device purchase; access WaterSmart here: bendoregon.gov/watersmart.
       
    a. Documentation will be required for approval including itemized receipt with associated model number.
       
    b. To accommodate the end of irrigation season, outdoor rebate post-inspections must be scheduled by October 15.

  4. Receive a confirmation email that application has been approved; incomplete or unsigned applications cannot be processed.

  5. Schedule a post-installation inspection through provided link in the confirmation email.

  6. Attend the post-inspection where rebate requirements will be verified, and final approval will be granted.
       
    a. If rebate requirements are not met, the rebate may not be approved.

  7. Rebate is then processed through Utility Billing for the approved amount as a credit on your City of Bend water bill; allow 60 days between final approval and utility billing credit.


 How to Locate Your Rebate Adjustment on Your Utility Bill

Qualifying rebates will be applied as a credit to the water account holder's utility bill. Look for the "adjustments" section of your bill in the top left corner. The rebate adjustment will be combined with any remaining balance forward' which will ultimately be credited to the current bill.
