Our Water System: A Journey Through Bend

The City of Bend offers a free online series that takes your students on a journey through Bend's unique water system. The program includes a complete set of modules:

  • Watersheds and Water Users
  • The Ins and Outs of Water
  • Stormwater Studies
  • Sewer Studies
  • Water Conservation

Water Quality Lending Library for Teachers

The City of Bend ’s Stormwater Program has resources free for your use, including Tabletop Watershed Diorama, Underground Injection Control Model, World Water Monitoring Kits and more. To reserve the Diorama or Underground Injection Control Model, please email stormwater@bendoregon.gov.

Sharing Waters Video (above)

The Sharing Water curriculum (below) is specifically designed for Central Oregon students. Discover Your Forest, the Children’s Forest of Central Oregon and Deschutes National Forest have teamed up to produce a video targeted to middle school students about the importance of ‘sharing water’ in Central Oregon’s high desert ecosystem. 

 
Restaurant and Food Service Training Video

This Food Service Training video is designed for Bend’s restaurant and food service industry. Clean Water Works, Water Conservation, Industrial Pretreatment and Safe Drinking Water programs have teamed up to produce a training video targeting local restaurant/food service employees and owners about simple but effective best management practices that help conserve and protect our water in beautiful Bend, Oregon.
