• Must be installed at the location of account listed on application.

• The qualifying machine must remain at the installation site for a minimum of 3+ years after installation.

• Washing machines that meet the Energy Star certification use about 33% less water than standard models. Features in the wash cycle and spin cycle reduce total water use and extract more water from clothes.  

• Both front and top loading models are eligible and must be on the Energy Star Certified Clothes Washer list and use 14 or less gallons per load (≤ 14 gal/load).

• Pressure within manufacturer operation range: Hunter MP (40-55 psi), Rainbird R-VAN (45-55 psi) and Toro Precision (30-45 psi).

• Recommended using PRS sprinkler bodies with nozzles to ensure proper operation pressure in areas with higher pressure range.

• Whole station must be converted, no mixed equipment on a station.

• Provide adequate water to plant material with even distribution.

• High efficiency nozzles spray water more efficiently and uniformly, often applying water at a much slower rate, allowing water to infiltrate and saturate the root zone, rather than blow away or run-off the landscape. 

• Eligible nozzles include Hunter MP Rotator nozzles (ALL Series), Rain Bird Rotary nozzles (R-VAN 13-18 and 17-24), or Toro Precision nozzles (ALL Series). High-efficiency nozzles may require PRS sprinkler bodies to operate correctly and check system operating pressure before installation.

    Why Use High Efficiency Nozzles?

• Provide adequate water to plant material with even distribution.

• Pressure regulating spray bodies include a built-in regulator (pressure reducer) that maintains a consistent pressure for optimal nozzle performance if a zone is over pressurized. 

• Eligible Pressure Regulating Spray (PRS) heads include Rain Bird PRS, Rain Bird PRS 45, Hunter PRS 30, and Hunter PRS 40. 

• Must be installed at the location of account listed on application.

• Must be programmed to utilize smart mode features.

• For app-based controllers, applicant mobile device must be available during inspection.

• Controller must have Wi-Fi enabled service or a stand-alone weather station is utilized, depending on the selected model.

• Smart irrigation controllers will adjust watering schedules and run times automatically to meet the specific landscape needs inputted into the controller by utilizing local weather data. 

• Weather-based ('smart') irrigation controllers must be WaterSense® labeled. • If installing/converting a zone to drip irrigation, the zone must have a drip value with filtration and pressure regulation connected to a timer/central controller.

• Use less water by applying water directly where it’s needed using drip irrigation and stop water waste from overspray. A drip conversion kit transforms underground conventional spray sprinklers and with 1/2” risers to drip irrigation.  

• All existing sprinklers on the converted station must be capped, with the exception of the sprinkler used as the drip point of connection- mixing of sprinkler types in the same zone is not permitted.  

• The following do not qualify for the drip conversion rebate: micro-sprays (misters), micro-jets, kits without pressure regulation and filtration, bubblers, fittings, and drip tubing smaller than 1/2" in diameter.

• If installing/converting a zone to drip irrigation, the zone must have a drip valve with filtration and pressure regulation connected to a timer/central controller.

• Submeters are installed after the point of connection on irrigation mainlines to separate irrigation water consumption from the potable consumption on mixed use sites.  This provides an elevated level of water management and leak detection for multifamily and commercial sites. Some sub meters can work in conjunction with the irrigation controller to identify high flows and shut down stations or send alerts when leaks are detected.  

• Eligible submeters range from 1/2”-2”. Submeters will only be rebated for sites with a single meter for outdoor and interior water use. 

• Only Multi-Family Residential customers are eligible for this rebate.
