This program allows residents to apply to the City of Bend annually to complete a sewer project in an area where properties are currently served by private onsite septic systems. The program is funded through utility rate revenues and allows residents to apply for $3.5M annually. Projects that are selected by the committee are referred to as Neighborhood Extension Projects (NEP).
