Notice of Bend Planning Commission Public Hearing – Southeast Area Plan

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Bend will hold a “virtual” public hearing before the Planning Commission on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. The hearing will be held remotely via a virtual meeting platform. Additional information may be found at https://www.bendoregon.gov/planningcommission.

The purpose of the hearing is for the Planning Commission to consider public testimony on the adoption of the proposed amendments to the Bend Comprehensive Plan and Bend Development Code to implement the Southeast Area Plan.  The project number for this hearing is PZ-20-0479.  

This application will be processed in accordance with BDC 4.1.500 Type IV Legislative Procedures.  Any person may attend the hearing.  Comments and evidence may be provided in writing any time prior to the hearing. 

Comments must be directed toward the criteria that apply to this request, and must reference the project number. Written comments may be submitted by email to Damian Syrnyk, Senior Planner at dsyrnyk@bendoregon.gov, or by mail to the City of Bend Growth Management Division, 709 NW Wall St., Suite 102, Bend, Oregon 97703.

The draft Summary Report and Technical Appendices for the Southeast Area Plan can be viewed at project website: https://www.bendoregon.gov/departments/community-development/growth-management/land-use-planning/southeast-area-plan. The Technical Appendices include the draft amendments to the Bend Comprehensive Plan and Bend Development Code. 

A copy of the Staff Report to the Planning Commission will be available at least seven (7) days prior to the hearing.  The Staff Report will be available to download with the draft adoption documents at the Southeast Area Plan project website and with the online agenda for the Planning Commission’s January 25, 2021 Planning Commission meeting. Copies can also be obtained at a reasonable cost from the City of Bend Permit Center, Bend City Hall, 710 NW Wall Street, Bend, Oregon.
