American Rescue Plan Act – City’s Proposed Funding Allocation for Housing/Houselessness
The Stewardship Subcommittee discusses topics related to community stewardship, including natural resources, human and health services, public safety, and community partnerships.
On May 24, 2021 and June 22, 2021, the Stewardship Subcommittee met to provide guidance to Staff regarding the City’s $14.08M American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding allocation. Members of the Affordable Housing Advisory Council (AHAC) and Human Rights & Equity Commission (HREC) were present for the second meeting on June 22, 2021 to provide input.
Aligning with the FY21-23 Council Goals, Budget Committee priorities, Stewardship Subcommittee guidance, and the AHAC and HREC’s input, the proposed funding allocation are for Housing/Houselessness including Affordable Housing, Project Turnkey, Managed Camp, Vulnerable Population Services, Bottom of K-Shape Support, City Services & Support, Utility Assistance, Job Training, Community Requests, and Business Support.
