Property Release Request
Property held by Bend Police can only be picked up by appointment and requires approval from the proper authorities; valid photo ID is needed, and appointments are available on select weekdays.
Property can only be picked up if you have an appointment.
Please fill out the form below and a Bend Police Evidence Technician will contact you about your request. You cannot get your property unless the Investigating Officer, District Attorney, or Court gives permission first. If you are picking up a firearm, you must pass a background check and show proof of ownership.
Items kept for safekeeping or that were found will be held for 90 days. After that, they will be handled according to Oregon law (ORS 98.245). If you can’t come in to pick up your property, you can call Bend Police Property and Evidence at (541) 312-7945 or email bpdevidence@bendoregon.gov to give permission for someone else (whom you name) to pick it up for you.
Appointments are available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. They are not available on weekends or holidays. You must bring a valid photo ID to pick up your property. The evidence unit is closed on Wednesdays for administrative duties.
