Special Inspection Program
The Building Safety Division provides a Special Inspection Program to help support our community.
The City of Bend collaborates with approved Special Inspection Agencies and Individual Special Inspectors to conduct specific special inspections. Please note that these inspections are not handled by our own inspectors. When applying for a building permit that needs special inspections, the Special Inspection Agency and the Individual Special Inspectors listed on the Special Inspections Agreement must be on our approved rosters or have applied for and received approval.
The Special Inspection Program is utilized to ensure that the Building Safety Division can verify that Special Inspectors and Agencies have the right qualifications for the work they will inspect under Chapter 17 of the Oregon Structural Specialty Code.
