Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Certification
To protect the accuracy and security of sensitive data, all Bend Police Department staff who access criminal justice information must complete Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification every year. This training ensures that staff understand how to handle information properly and securely. The records team is responsible for tracking and confirming that this certification is completed and kept up to date.
