Weekly Road Report for the Week of May 4-10

Intersection of NW Costco Drive and NW Henry Avenue
Intersection of NW Costco Drive and NW Henry Avenue will have a water service removal near the intersection, 4-way flagging, May 4 – 8, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Intersection of NW Galveston Avenue and NW 15th Street
Intersection of NW Galveston Avenue and NW 15th Street will have electrical work in the area, 4-way flagging of the intersection, May 5 – 8, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Intersection of NE Olney Avenue and NE 6th Street
Intersection of NE Olney Avenue and NE 6th Street will have electrical work in the area, 4-way flagging of the intersection, May 5 – 8, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

SE Wilson Avenue
SE Wilson Avenue between SE Centennial Street and SE 9th Street for rail, roadway, and sidewalk infrastructure installation, Full road closure with detour. Estimated closure from April 27th to Early July. We will provide updated dates when BNSF (the rail company) gets the city the schedule.

Happy Girls Run (special event)
This special event includes a 5K, 10K, and half marathon. The event will primarily use City sidewalks and BPRD trails, crossing a few higher-classification streets with the use of certified flaggers (streets listed below). Event takes place May 9th.

  • NW Galveston Avenue between NW Harmon Boulevard and NW Riverfront Street.
  • Newport Avenue between NW Wall Street and NW Drake Road
  • Mt. Washington between NW Scenic Heights Drive and NW Links Lane

Windsor Drive
Windsor Drive between Brosterhous Road and Woodside Court for a sewer main installation (part of City Neighborhood Street Safety Program), full road closure with local access only, April 27 – End of August.

O.B. Riley Road
O.B. Riley Road between Mervin Samples Road and Highway 20 for aerial utility work, single lane moving flagging operation, April 27 – May 6.

SW Colorado Avenue
SW Colorado Avenue between NW Bond Street and NW Staats Street for utility work, single lane closure with lane shift, April 20 – May 8, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Fargo Lane
Fargo Lane between Perrigan Drive and Orion Drive for sewer installation work for the City’s King Hezekiah and Fargo Sewer Project.

  • Fargo Lane between Perrigan Drive and Orion Drive will be closed with local and emergency access only, April 3 – June 30.

NE Purcell Boulevard
NE Purcell Boulevard between US 20 and Bear Creek Road for infrastructure installations, full road closure with detour, March 30 – May 29.

Intersection of SW Atwood Drive and Ponderosa Street
Intersection of SW Atwood Drive and Ponderosa Street for stormwater and water main infrastructure work, full closure of the intersection with detour, Feb. 23 – end of May.

Ponderosa Street
Ponderosa Street at the intersection with SW Atwood Drive will have stormwater and water infrastructure installation, full road closure with detour, Feb. 23 – May 29.

Ferguson Road
Ferguson Road between Magnolia Drive and 27th Street will have infrastructure upgrades, single lane closure with eastbound traffic only, Feb. 2 – May 29.

Magnolia Lane
Magnolia Lane between Hearthstone Lane and Ferguson Road will have infrastructure improvements, full road closure with local access only, Oct. 6 – May 15.

Butler Market Corridor Improvements
This project will design and construct a new single lane roundabout at the intersection of Butler Market Road and Wells Acres Road, and pedestrian and bicycle improvements on Butler Market Road between Boyd Acres Road and Brinson Boulevard. Project is anticipated to occur from Sept. 22 – Late fall 2026. Roadway impacts listed below. For more information visit Butler Market & Wells Acres Roundabout and Key Route Project webpage.

  • Note: Butler Market Road between NE Brinson Boulevard and NE 8th Street will have a westbound lane closure with detour.
  • Butler Market is open to eastbound traffic only between Broken Bow Drive and Brinson Boulevard.
  • Beginning May 11th, Wells Acres will be closed at the intersection with Butler Market for 95 days. (Butler Market remains open to eastbound traffic.) Use Purcell Boulevard as an alternate route.

NW Harriman Street
NW Harriman Street between NW Kearney Avenue and NW Greenwood Avenue for infrastructure work associated with the Deschutes County Courthouse, full road closure through May 15.

Future Road Closures

NW Crossing Farmers Market (Special Event)
NW Crossing Farmers Market special event occurring every Saturday May 30 – September 26. Multiple road closures related to event (listed below).

  • NW Crossing Drive between Mount Washington Drive and NW Crossing Drive (Circle).
  • NW John Freemont between NW Ordiway Avenue and NW Fort Clatsop Street.
  • NW Fort Clatsop Street between NW Ordway Avenue and NW John Freemont Street.

Work schedules are dependent on weather conditions and other factors. Always exercise increased caution within construction zones. Drivers should use designated detour routes. Nearby residential streets are for local traffic only.

Any road closure not listed within this report, please submit a service request to notify the city of any potentially unpermitted work within City right of way. Please visit the Transportation and Mobility Department to submit.
