90-day notice of consideration of System Development Charge methodology, project lists, and fee changes

The City of Bend hereby issues public notice, pursuant to ORS 223.304 (7), of its intent to hold a public hearing to consider changes in its water, transportation, and sewer system development charges (SDC). Pursuant to ORS 223.309(2), the City hereby also gives notice that it intends to also consider changes to the lists of projects that may be funded with SDCs, and these changes may increase the SDC charged.

The City will hold a public hearing on January 17, 2024, at the City Council meeting that begins at 7:00 p.m., regarding the proposed adoption of water, transportation, and sewer SDC methodologies, water and transportation project lists, and schedule of charges. The City of Bend Council will conduct this meeting virtually through Zoom and in person at the Bend City Hall, Council Chambers, 710 NW Wall Street, Bend, Oregon. To observe this meeting, livestreaming will be available at www.bendoregon.gov/councilagenda

If adopted, the proposed water, transportation, and sewer SDC methodology are presently planned to go into effect for all applicable permits applied for on or after July 1, 2024.

A technical report addressing the methodology and calculation of the potential charges will be available for review no later than November 18, 2023 (at least 60 days prior to the public hearing) at the following location: Bend City Hall, 710 NW Wall Street Bend, Oregon. The report will also be posted on the website.
