Admiral & King Jehu Sewer Project Update – August 29, 2022
TENTATIVE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES FOR ADMIRAL WAY
- No work is scheduled for Labor Day, September 5th.
- Sewer main and maintenance hole installation continues.
- Rock hammering is ongoing in several locations.
- Lateral excavation and installation are ongoing.
- Central Electric Cooperative is also doing some necessary utility work.
- Admiral Way is closed to thru-traffic. Local access to residences is provided. Please drive slowly, as there is a lot going on. If there is heavy machinery in the way of local access, please be patient and make eye contact with the crew. The operator will move the excavator within a few minutes. Please plan your drive time accordingly and expect slight delays while driving through the construction zone. See the detour map below.
- Minor tree trimming and clearing in the right of way for the main line or lateral installation will continue as needed.
- Some landscape restoration has already occurred (i.e., sod replacement) – please note that new sod needs to be frequently watered until it has been well-established.
PROJECT PHOTO
Below is a photo of the sewer trench. You can see a lateral connection pipe sticking up at an angle from the buried main pipe. This lateral will get extended to the homeowner’s property line in preparation for the future sewer connection.

TRAFFIC CONTROL
The map below shows the closure area (solid red line) and detour (blue dashed line). Local access will be provided for homeowners living on the closed streets. You may experience minor delays when driving through the construction zone. If an excavator is in the way, make eye contact or wave, and they are typically good at moving out of the way to let traffic pass. Please proceed with caution when driving in the construction zone. We appreciate your ongoing patience.
