Admiral & King Jehu Sewer Project Update – July 18, 2022

TENTATIVE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES FOR ADMIRAL WAY

  • Rock hammering is ongoing on Admiral Way.
  • There is lateral excavation and installation occurring on the north and south ends of Admiral Way.
  • Bend Broadband is also doing some necessary utility relocation work.
  • Admiral Way is closed to thru-traffic. Local access to residences is provided. A lot is going on; please drive slowly. If there is heavy machinery in the way of local access, please be patient and make eye contact with the crew. The operator will move the excavator within a few minutes. Please plan your drive time accordingly and expect slight delays while driving through the construction zone; see the detour map below.
  • There is a new temporary traffic pattern on West View at Admiral Way. Temporary stop signs have been installed to keep drivers and workers safe while working adjacent to and inside the intersection.
  • Lateral staking should now be current or pending relocation if you have been communicating directly with the project team. Please reach out to the project contact if you still feel your lateral is not in the correct location.
  • Please do not move or remove any wooden survey stakes.
  • Minor tree trimming and clearing in the right of way for main line or lateral install will occur ongoing as needed.

TENTATIVE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES FOR KING JEHU WAY AND KING HEZEKIAH WAY

  • Paving is complete on King Jehu and King Hezekiah.
  • Aggregate shoulders will be placed this week. The traffic control measures will remain in place until the aggregate has been placed.
  • Landscape restoration and final cleanup on King Hezekiah and King Jehu will occur over the next couple of weeks.
  • The Notice of Operational Completion (NOC) letters are anticipated to be mailed out approximately by the end of the month.

TRAFFIC CONTROL

The maps below show the closure area (solid red line) and detour (blue dashed line). Local access will be provided for homeowners living on the closed streets. You may experience minor delays when driving through the construction zone. If an excavator is in the way, make eye contact or wave, and they are typically good at moving out of the way to let traffic pass. Please proceed with caution when driving in the construction zone. We appreciate your ongoing patience.
