Admiral & King Jehu Sewer Project Update – June 20, 2022

TENTATIVE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES FOR ADMIRAL WAY

  • There are two rock hammers working on the south end of Admiral this week.
  • Admiral Way is closed to thru-traffic. Local access to residences is provided. Please refer to the detour map below.
  • The current plan shows work starting from the south end of Admiral Way and working north.
  • Lateral staking should now be current or pending relocation if you have been communicating with the project contact directly about that.
  • Construction survey staking is ongoing; please do not move or remove any wooden survey stakes.
  • Minor tree trimming and clearing in the right of way will continue as needed. At the end of the project, the crews will tidy anything that was cleared or trimmed and still looks “rough.”

TENTATIVE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES FOR KING JEHU WAY AND KING HEZEKIAH WAY

  • Paving is tentatively scheduled for early July. There will be more information about logistics in next week’s email. In addition, we will also provide notification at least 48 hours in advance via door-flyers.
  • Finish repair work on the maintenance hole at the King Solomon/King Hezekiah intersection is still pending until further notice; an updated work schedule will be communicated via this weekly email when a date(s) has been secured.
  • Lateral installation on King Jehu is ongoing.
  • Traffic control measures remain in place.

PROJECT PHOTO

Below is a photo of a sewer lateral trench. You can see other utilities (power, gas, communications) crossing the open trench, the green sewer cleanout, and the white PVC marker adjacent to it. You can see a wire wrapped around the green sewer cleanout, which is there to help locate it in the future.

A photo of a sewer lateral trench with other utilities exposed crossing in the open trench. There is a green sewer cleanout & white PVC marker adjacent to it sticking out of the trench. There is also green marker tape laid in the trench.

TRAFFIC CONTROL

The maps below show the closure area (solid red line) and detour (blue dashed line). Local access will be provided for homeowners living on the closed streets. You may experience minor delays when driving through the construction zone. If an excavator is in the way, make eye contact or wave, and they are typically good at moving out of the way to let traffic pass. Please proceed with caution when driving in the construction zone. We appreciate your ongoing patience.
