Bear Creek Sidewalk and Bike Lane Opening Celebration

It was a beautiful morning as the City of Bend, Commute Options, Principal Montoya and students from Bear Creek Elementary School opened new sidewalks and bike lanes on Bear Creek Road.

This project extended sidewalk and bike lanes east on Bear Creek Road to the limits of the walking zone for Bear Creek Elementary School (from Benaiah Court on the west side of the project limits to Cessna Drive on the east side of the project limits). Storm water management was also incorporated with bio-infiltration swales.
