Bend City Council financial retreat April 13

The Bend City Council and Budget Committee will meet from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, at Municipal Court, 555 NE 15th Street in Bend, to discuss the General Fund and funding strategies for maintaining streets. The meeting is open to the public.

Goals of the financial retreat include finding a short term strategy to prevent City streets from further deterioration. Discussions will include General Fund reprioritizations and which services or programs could be cut from areas such as public safety or community development.

The second part of the financial retreat will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on April 27 at Municipal Court. That meeting will focus on utilities.

The City Council will vote on any changes in a supplemental budget in June.
