  • Slow down, stay alert, and obey road construction signs.
  • Increase your following distance.
  • Watch for bikers, pedestrians, children, and pets.
  • Expect delays and give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination.
  • Obey posted speed limits.
  • Follow instructions from flaggers.
