Ferguson Sewer Improvements Project Update – December 22, 2022

TENTATIVE UPCOMING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES

• The east bound closure of Ferguson Road is expected to begin on January 3, 2023.
• Utility exploration (also known as “potholing”) has been delayed until after the new year due to ice and snow on the ground.
• You may notice survey stakes along your frontage on Ferguson Road. The stakes with the pink ribbon represent the location of your sewer lateral. For those who are currently served by septic, please contact me directly as soon as possible (if you have not already done so) if you would like to request a relocation to the proposed sewer lateral.
• For those along Ferguson currently served by septic and receiving a new sewer lateral with this project, visit www.bendoregon.gov/septictosewerprogram for more information on connecting to sewer after construction.

Some things to note:

• This is a pilot program. We may ask you for feedback on what worked well and what didn’t when the project is completed.
• You do not have to sign up to receive text messages. We will still be sending subscribers email updates that will bring you needed information and updates about the project. This texting program is to supplement our outreach and provide a higher level of service.
• You can opt out of this service at any time by simply texting STOP to 503-483-5506. This is required by law.

TRAFFIC CONTROL

Ferguson Road will be closed to eastbound traffic beginning in early January. The detour is shown below. Local access will be provided for homeowners living on adjacent streets and along Ferguson Road. You may experience minor delays when driving through the construction zone. Please reduce speeds and proceed with caution when driving in the construction zone. We appreciate your ongoing patience.
