Ferguson Sewer Improvements Project Update – May 10, 2023

***ATTENTION*** FERGUSON SEWER IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT UPDATE

We apologize for any confusion regarding the Avion Water Company shut-off outlined below. For clarification, residents impacted by this water shut-off are those who received a door hanger. If you did not receive a door hanger, then you are not impacted by this water shut-off. Residents may also confirm if they are impacted by visiting the following website: Avion Water : Boil Water Info.

If you have any questions about the forthcoming one-day water shut-off on 05/15/2023, please contact Avion Water Company directly. Again, the City of Bend apologizes for any confusion and appreciates your patience and understanding. Thank you.

TENTATIVE UPCOMING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES – A QUICK IMPORTANT UPDATE

  • The crews will be performing a stretch of Avion waterline replacement starting on 5/15 and lasting approximately 3 days. Work will occur on the south shoulder of Ferguson Road just west of Cottonwood Drive. There will be a single-lane closure with 2-way flagging, so traffic will remain open to both directions of travel through that stretch. Please note that this is in addition to the traffic detour which remains in place (eastbound closure from the COID bridge to just west of Sarah Drive). Avion has notified all affected customers of a temporary, 1-day water shut-off and boil notice via door hangers as well as a forthcoming automated phone call prior to the shut-off. If you have specific questions about the water shut-off, please contact Avion Water directly.

  • Bypass pumping in the Ridgewater neighborhood is expected to occur slightly later than communicated, with set-up beginning approximately 5/17. The purpose of this is so that we can decommission the existing Ridgewater II Pump Station without interruption to residents’ sewer service. Neighborhood and driveway access will be maintained. Work is anticipated to last 2-weeks or less.

Thank you for your continued patience as we complete this important sewer project!
