Fire prevention week is here
October 6 – 12th is National Fire Prevention Week and the Bend Fire Department is celebrating with an Open House event! On Saturday, October 12 from 11 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., the public is invited to visit our North fire station at 63377 Jamison Street. There will be fun, FREE activities for the whole family!
- Meet our firefighters
- Tour the fire station and climb aboard a fire engine
- Watch a Vehicle Extrication with the Jaws of Life
- Live Burn Demonstration to show what NOT to do in case of a grease fire on your stovetop and the benefits of residential fire sprinklers
- Free CPR classes and blood pressure checks
- Take your picture at the Children’s Firefighter Photo booth and craft activities
- Build your very own fire truck with our friends from the Home Depot
- Plus, scoops of Eberhards Ice Cream, cookies and refreshments
