Galveston Corridor Public Meeting
Galveston Corridor Public Meeting
Thursday, April 23rd from 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
(Presentation at 6 p.m.)
Bend Park and Recreation District Office – 799 SW Columbia Street, Bend
The City of Bend is asking for public input to select a preferred Galveston Avenue design concept to present to the Bend City Council for final approval.
The concepts represent this project vision from the Galveston Task Force and City of Bend: Northwest Galveston will reflect the small-town character of Bend while providing a model for how mixed-use and multi-modal transportation corridors can provide the foundation for a richer quality of life for corridor users and adjacent neighborhoods. Galveston will be an attractive place to live and travel, will be environmentally-sensitive and will be a prosperous setting for business.
Included with the concepts are options to improve safety and reduce congestion at the intersection of Galveston and Harmon Boulevard and to provide a location for additional on-street parking to alleviate parking in front of residences.
Updated documents that will be presented and reviewed at the public meeting will be available on Monday, April 20, at: www.bendoregon.gov/galveston
