Murphy Corridor Improvements Project Update – April 2, 2020

Thank you for your interest in the Murphy Corridor Improvements Project.

The Brosterhous Rd roundabout will be open to traffic the week of April 6, weather dependent. Intermittent flagging should be expected as construction work continues around the Brosterhous Rd & Murphy Rd intersection. The temporary two-lane bypass road will be removed following the opening of the roundabout.

Expect to see crews working in the Brosterhous Rd & Murphy Rd roundabout area through early May as we complete this phase of the project.

Construction activities for the upcoming week

  • Crews are continuing to prep and pour sidewalks and curbs
  • Construction will begin on the retaining wall
  • Road striping work will be completed
  • Removal of the current temporary two-lane bypass road

Upcoming Construction Traffic Control

  • Expect intermittent flagging

Stage 2 (Late April-Late June):

  • Two-way traffic on the temporary bypass road
  • Expect intermittent flagging during construction of roadway & utilities

Stage 3 & 4 (Late June-Late August):

  • Westbound traffic detour on Murphy Rd, between Brosterhous Rd and Country Club Dr
  • Eastbound traffic on Murphy Rd will be maintained
  • Expect intermittent flagging
