Murphy Corridor Improvements Project Update – April 9, 2020
Thank you for your interest in the Murphy Corridor Improvements Project.
The Brosterhous Road roundabout is now open! Expect to see crews continuing to work in the Brosterhous Road and Murphy Road roundabout area through early May as we complete this phase of the project.
Modernization improvement work between Brosterhous Road and Country Club Drive is underway. A temporary two-lane bypass road on the north side of Murphy Road will open Monday, April 13. The bypass road will connect to Murphy Road to accommodate traffic around the construction area (see graphic below).
Construction activities for the upcoming week include:
- Retaining wall construction on the eastside of Brosterhous/Murphy
- The Brosterhous/Murphy bypass road will be removed
- Demolition of Murphy, adjacent to the new bypass road
- Construction site clean-up will continue
Changes to Construction Zones:
- The Brosterhous roundabout is now open.
- Brown Trout is open to right-in/right-out traffic with the Brosterhous opening. Please note, Brown Trout will be closed at Murphy again in June, when westbound Murphy traffic is detoured.
- A temporary two-lane bypass road will open on the north side of Murphy Road beginning April 13.
