Murphy Corridor Improvements Project Update – November 30, 2021
Thank you for your interest in the Murphy Corridor Improvements Project.
Construction Activities – Week of November 29
- Crews will stain bridge overcrossing rails and continue work on the fencing.
- Landscape work will continue along the bridge with tree and shrub plantings and the installation of the irrigation system.
- Curbs and sidewalks will be poured along 15th Street for the future Alpenglow Park.
- Construction work will continue through the end of the year along Brosterhous Road under the railroad bridge on the pedestrian passage and sewer extension.
Road Closure Notice
The northbound lane of Brosterhous Road is closed between Murphy Road and Knott Road through the end of December (the southbound lane is now open). The closure is for constructing a shared-use path for bikers and pedestrians under the railroad bridge and a sewer extension project. The new sidewalk will connect to existing sidewalks to the north and south and create a safe passage under the railroad bridge. The timing of the project is based on permits issued by BNSF Railway.
