Newport Corridor Improvements Project Update – March 25, 2022

SAFETY FIRST

Grading of Newport Avenue, between 9th Street and 10th Street, will be performed on Saturday, March 26, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. This work will be within the closed construction area only.

Beginning Monday, March 28, the paving of Newport Avenue between Juniper Street and College Way will cause intermittent closures of driveways along Newport Avenue. These closures will be limited while the asphalt is compacted, but expect traffic delays. The paving of this segment will continue through Friday, April 1. Westbound traffic in this segment is limited to local access only. Please follow the designated detours shown below to provide crews room to perform their work and limit traffic delays.
