SCHEDULE CHANGE: 14th Street reconstruction work has shifted to the segment between Galveston Av and Newport Av. The complete closure of this segment is now scheduled to begin Monday July 2. Once again, driver awareness of the designated detours and residential areas is our safety focus as traffic patterns continue to change. The contractor’s intent is to open the southbound lane as soon as possible, considering safety for citizens and workers.

Final lift paving and striping of Century Drive, Simpson Ave to Albany Ave, was completed this week. The contractor is nearing final completion of this segment with some minor landscaping tasks remaining; expected to be complete early next week. Trees will not be planted along this segment until this Fall, during the east cascade planting season.

Site investigation and right of way coordination efforts have begun for Phase II, Galveston Ave to Albany Ave, of the 14th Street Reconstruction Project in anticipation of construction beginning as early as August 6, 2018.
