Transportation Maintenance Solutions
Did you know the City maintains 882 lane miles of road, 516 miles of sidewalk and over 100 miles (and counting) of bike lanes?
Your transportation system is a public investment that needs regular maintenance so you can safely get where you want to go. A well-maintained transportation system supports a vibrant economy and better quality of life.
Existing funding sources aren’t enough to meet maintenance needs. Following recommendations from a community-supported Transportation System Plan, the City Council is establishing a Transportation Fee to create an on ongoing funding source to maintain your transportation system.
The Transportation Fee will be collected through utility bills like your monthly sewer charge. The charge ensures people who use the road system share the costs of maintenance needed to keep it operating at an adequate level. Transportation Fees could start appearing on utility bills in 2024.
