Utility Department Tabletop Exercise

The City of Bend Utility Department completed an emergency management tabletop exercise simulating water contamination through chemical exposure. The mock exercise was held on October 31, 2022, providing staff and officials with training on procedures and processes to control potential contaminations and provide essential public outreach to minimize harm to the community. The Environmental Protection Agency requires the Utility Department to perform exercises such as these to comply with rules and regulations associated with municipal water treatment and delivery.
