Heads Up! Construction Starts in March

The Newport Corridor Improvements project gets underway in March. Construction begins with replacement of an aging water line at the 10^th Street & Newport Avenue intersection. The project will result in temporary closures and detours.

Working Above and Below Ground

The Newport Corridor improvements will:

• Rebuild the aging and failing stormwater drainage system.
• Reconstruct the roadway from 9^th Street to College Way.
• Replace the existing sewer trunk line.
• Replace water distribution pipes in the rebuilt roadway.
• Install new sidewalks, curb ramps, lighting, landscaping, and signage.
