Weekly Road and Traffic Report for the Week of January 20 – 26

For the Week of January 20-26:

  • Intersection of Parrell Road and Badger Road for a communications installation, 4-way flagging, January 22, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • SE 15th Street between SE Bronzewood Avenue and SE Suntree Street for utility work, work along shoulder, January 21-24.
  • Awbrey Butte Waterline Improvements Project, Phase 2 – This project will provide water distribution system upgrades to the Awbrey Butte area with eight interrelated water improvement subprojects. For more information, visit the Awbrey Butte Waterline Improvements Project website.
    • Portland Ave: 9th to 1st: Full road closure/ Local Access Only lasting through winter. Detour to use 9th St to Newport Ave to Wall St.
  • Midtown Crossing Project (2nd street work) – A multiphase project that will replace the water main from Greenwood Avenue to Franklin Avenue in preparation for the full reconstruction occurring next spring. Phase 2 – 4 occurs from October 21 – Spring 2025. Northbound lane closure with local access will occur in its entirety. Current road section work listed below.
    • 2nd Street between NE Irving Avenue and NE Greeley Avenue.
  • NW Harriman Street between NW Kearney Avenue and NW Greenwood Avenue for infrastructure work associated with the Deschutes County Courthouse, full road closure, began July 24.
  • Intersection of Bear Creek Road and Pettigrew Road will have power pole replacements, 4-way flagging of the intersection, January 6 –24.

 


Future Road Closures:

 

  • SW Reed Market Road between Mount Bachelor Drive and roundabout at river crossing for catch basin repair, eastbound lane closure with detour, February 3 – 7, 7 a.m. – 3p.m.

 


Work schedules are dependent on weather conditions and other factors. Always exercise increased caution within construction zones. Drivers should use designated detour routes. Nearby residential streets are for local traffic only.

 

Any road closure not listed within this report, please submit a service request to notify the city of any potentially unpermitted work within City right of way. Please visit the Transportation and Mobility Department to submit.
