Wilson Avenue Corridor Project Update – May 13, 2022

SAFETY FIRST

Rain showers and fog are fairly common occurrences during the spring season. As a result, roadways can become slippery and wet pavement can cause your vehicle to hydroplane. Ensure your vehicle is well equipped to handle spring weather by testing your windshield wipers, lights, and tires to confirm that they’re all functioning properly.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE FOR MAY 16 – MAY 20

Wilson Avenue Corridor Project – 9th Street and Wilson Avenue Roundabout

• Concrete paving work will begin on the 9th Street roundabout.
• Sidewalk prep work will continue.
• Crews will continue pouring island and roundabout curbs, sidewalks, and driveways.  
• Water and sewer line connections will continue to be made at the north end of 9th Street. 

DETOURS IN EFFECT

The 9th Street/Wilson Avenue intersection remains closed.

GENERAL PROJECT NOTES

• Access to all area businesses along the construction area will be maintained.
• Please do not enter the construction zone before, during, or after hours.
• Daytime work hours are in effect from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

PROJECT COMMUNICATIONS

• EMS, buses, and many other delivery/service providers have been included on this distribution list.
• Please help us spread the word to your clients, customers, and delivery personnel regarding detouring and closures.
• Share the project website information (provided below), where others can also sign up for updates.
