Wilson Avenue Corridor Project Update – May 2, 2022

Each year sun glare is responsible for thousands of accidents across the U.S. Please pay extra attention to the time of day and other factors when driving during the hours with the highest risk of sun glare.
OPEN HOUSE
Thank you to everyone who attended the open house on April 27 to learn about the upcoming construction of the 15th Street and Wilson Avenue Roundabout and the section of Wilson from 9th Street to 15th Street.



Roundabout construction is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2022.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE FOR MAY 2 – MAY 6
Wilson Avenue Corridor Project – 9th Street and Wilson Avenue Roundabout
- Crews will pour sidewalks, the island, and roundabout curbs.
- Existing utilities that are in conflict will continue to be moved.
- Crews will continue installing the drywells.
DETOURS IN EFFECT
The 9th Street/Wilson Avenue Intersection Remains Closed.
GENERAL PROJECT NOTES
- Access to all area businesses along the construction area will be maintained.
- Please do not enter the construction zone before, during, or after hours.
- Daytime work hours are in effect from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
PROJECT COMMUNICATIONS
- EMS, buses, and many other delivery/service providers have been included on this distribution list.
- Please help us in spreading the word to your clients, customers, and delivery personnel regarding detouring and closures.
- Share the project website information (provided below), where others can also sign up for updates.
