Wilson Avenue Corridor Project Update – October 13, 2023
SAFETY FIRST
With it getting darker earlier, and staying darker longer, we want to remind drivers and pedestrians to be alert and stay safe!
Tips for Pedestrians
- Carry a flashlight or attach reflective materials to clothing, backpacks, and purses. These materials reflect light from headlights back to drivers, making it easier to see you.
- Be aware that sun glare may prevent drivers from seeing you. Use extra caution!
- Walk on sidewalks whenever possible. If you must walk on the street, face traffic.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Week of October 16 – 20
Modernization work on Wilson Avenue from Fourth Street through Centennial Street is scheduled through this month. Please be prepared for flaggers and a westbound detour between Fourth and Ninth Street.
