Welcome to the 2027 Neighborhood Street Safety Program – Tucson Avenue Safety Improvements Survey
As part of the Neighborhood Street Safety Program, the City of Bend is preparing to start designing safety and speed-reduction improvements along NE Tucson Way between Neff Road and Conners Avenue. Improvements will also include a 6-ft sidewalk on the west side where a gap currently exist.
This online survey includes potential design features and sample options for your consideration. Please share your preferences and any concerns regarding the proposed improvements.
Sample Option 1
Improvements include:
- 6 ft wide sidewalk on the west side of Tucson Avenue from Neff to Conners where no sidewalk currently exists.
- Accessibility ramps.
- Speed humps. (Note: Final location of speed humps may change.)

The Mountain View Neighborhood District submitted NE Tucson Way between Neff Road and Conners Avenue as a safety concern because of high-speed cut through traffic in the neighborhood.
